I walk among a field of nettles So many sensations to behold One pricks my skin and I withdraw The wound itching and burning I pick and prod and poke away And the pain becomes too great I apply the salve and bandages And promise to never walk the field again. But I know that I'm alive. So I sit with my head full of bees When someone comes and shakes it One stings my thoughts and I recoil The wound swelling and aching I resist the urge to poke and prod and the pain finally eases With more salve and bandages I take to the field again.

My Bio

"Lost but seeking, we find ourselves."

Artistically speaking, I would say I'm a writer, with photography and creating digital art as secondary hobbies. Once in a while I doodle traditional pencil/ink sketches but they end up in Scraps. If any of this is any good, well, I suppose that's up to you. Music's a pretty big thing in my life too, though I have yet to try my hand at creating it - I'm afraid it won't be my forte.

Inspirations: Are found every day, in the parts, places, and people of life, large and small.

What free time I have is consumed by gaming - namely RPGs of many varieties, cosplay/conventions, eating chocolate, living with my cats, and sometimes sleep.

"Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck." -Dalai Lama XIV I'm learning very quickly that trying to push myself with deadlines for projects that are not for others just doesn't work. Even if said project -is- for someone else I get stressed out to the point I often have to shut down for a day or two after, and am never happy with the finished project (being my own worse critic aside). I can live with the latter, but the last few days I have struggled more than I think I ever have before in terms of creativity - and I've had some serious struggles in that department. That is, until I decided to grab a junk-mail envelope and start sketching out my favorite Disney character, Stitch/Experiment 626. I looked up a few references, tried out my own pose, and before I knew it the little monster was on the paper in front of me. And the weird part was I was happy. With how it turned out and with the action itself. Keep in mind, I don't really draw -

Day Two

"Wish we could turn back time to the good old days..." - Stressed Out, Twenty One Pilots Frustration. One step forward, then two back. Put a song on loop to try to work out the kinks mucking up my frame of mind. When that didn't work I tried another, and another, and another - finally I gave up and just went with the one that spoke true of emotion. Taming a beast takes time, I need to remember that. Time, patience, understanding. It's the last one that I lack, and currently I struggle with the second. When you have to move on, when do you stop and say 'that's good enough for today'? I can follow my rules and say that in all technicality that the task was completed, but when the taste is unsatisfactory is it truly finished? I don't think so, but for now it will have to do. Not everything needs to see the light of day, and perhaps tomorrow's will bring something worthy into view. Take some time to wash the pain and fury away, and try to find that resolve that I know is buried
